One of my favourite comfort food meals has to be a classic Mac n’ cheese.
Modifications
For those who like a crunch on their mac n cheese, you can add crunchy bacon, adding some protein and flavour too
Adding the cooked mac n cheese to a dish, covering in cheese and baking adds a rustic, home-cooked feel to an already classic dish
For those looking for a more stodgy meal, trying adding gluten free, fried breadcrumbs on top of the mac n cheese
RECIPE
Serves: 1 portion
Ingredients
1 tbsp butter
1tbsp gluten free plain flour ( I used the brand juvela)
150ml milk
cheese- add until the desired taste (roughly 200g)
Cooked gluten free pasta (I used fusilli pasta)
Method
Heat pan on a medium heat. Once hot, add the butter and heat until melted.
Add the flour and mix together to make a dough.
Add the milk a little at a time, until a thick sauce has formed.
Pour the cheese in and mix until melted.
Add the pasta and mix.
